Raiden!

So I have the opportunity to watch Raiden up to 3 times a week and I love it! It can be stressful at times but I enjoy every minute of it! He is so cute and does the cutest things! He loves his grandpa and loves watching Disney sing alongs with him! He is super energetic and just the biggest goof sometimes! There is never a dull moment when he is around! I love that I have the opportunity to watch him grow and help in his learning processes. He has really started to blow kisses, which I am super proud of since that is one of the things I worked on with him! He is super smart and can understand a lot! He loves sitting in his Tonka truck he got for Christmas and loves it more when he sits in it and watches sing alongs! I will post pictures soon of it! Then when I last had him we (me, mom, and dad) were getting him ready to be dropped off to Ricky. We were like Raiden lets change your diaper and he just kinda shook his head. We said it again and were like Raiden lets change your diaper and he goes over to his diaper bag and starts throwing clothes out of it and what not and we were like what is he doing! well being the smart boy he is he was getting a diaper out! He goes and gets the diaper and throws it on the ground. He started playing with Hannah's new push around car thing and saw there was this compartment. So he goes and gets the diaper off the ground and starts shoving the diaper in this compartment and would ride around with the diaper. it was super funny. Then after awhile we were like ok Raiden it is really time for a diaper change, at this point it was just me and my dad in the room. So Raiden goes and gets the diaper, throws it on the ground, sits down, does this little roll thing that makes it so that he is laying down. It was the funniest thing!! I swear he rolled his eyes as well! I cant get over how funny and smart he is! Then after that I was like Raiden blow me a kiss and instead of blowing me a kiss he goes and kisses me on the lips and gets this huge grin on his face and acts a little shy! it was too cute! needless to say it totally made my night! I love it when I get loves from him and Hannah. There is nothing better then a hug from a little one, at least for me! anyway I just love it and am so happy I have been given the opportunity to watch him! I also love having Hannah here! She is growing up so fast!

It's kind of ironic how my last post was about her birth and this one is about her new beginning..I don't say death because she has moved on to the next chapter in her life somewhere better then here on earth. I miss you lots and wish you were still here. The only thing that has helped me is knowing where you are and that you are there rooting for us all. Thanks for the good times and many laughs. You will always be a part of me and I will forever be grateful for you! I love you Larry! 3 stooges for life! Much love.. I couldn't ask for a better guardian angel..God be with us till we meet again!

Thankful...

So I saw this on one of my friends facebook, I read it and it made me tear up. I want to say thanks to all those who have served, are serving, and will serve. Thank you for all you do, there are still people who remember what sacrifices you are making. I also want to say thanks to those who have someone serving in their family whether it be their husband, wife, son, brother, sister, daughter, mother, or father, you guys are just as brave as those whom serve. They couldn't do it without your support. A lot of those serving dont get to be home for Christmas. What a great season to let them know we are thinking of them and love them for what they do. We should support them and remember them this holiday season and send our love their way and the way of their families. Much love. Here is the poem I saw..

A Soldier's Christmas

By Michael Marks

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,

I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight;

My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,

My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,

Transforming the yard to a winter delight;

The sparkling lights in the tree, I believe,

Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,

Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep

In perfect contentment or so it would seem,

So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,

But I opened my eye when it tickled my ear;

Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know,

Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,

And I crept to the door just to see who was near;

Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,

A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.

A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,

Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold;

Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,

Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

"What are you doing?" I asked without fear,

"Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!

Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,

You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!"

For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift

Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts

To the window that danced with a warm fire's light,

Then he sighed and he said "It's really all right,

I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night.

"It's my duty to stand at the front of the line

That separates you from the darkest of times;

No one had to ask or beg or implore me,

I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.

"My Gramps died at 'Pearl' on a day in December,"

then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram' always remembers;

My dad stood his watch in the jungles of 'Nam,

And now it is my turn and so, here I am.

"I've not seen my own son in more than a while,

But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile;"

Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,

The red white and blue ... an American flag.

"I can live through the cold and the being alone

Away from my family, my house and my home;

I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,

I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.

"I can carry the weight of killing another

Or lay down my life with my sisters and brothers

Who stand at the front against any and all,

To insure for all time that this flag will not fall.

"So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright,

Your family is waiting and I'll be all right."

"But isn't there something I can do, at the least

Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?

It seems all too little for all that you've done,

For being away from your wife and your son."

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,

"Just tell us you love us, and never forget

To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,

To stand your own watch, no matter how long.

"For when we come home, either standing or dead,

To know you remember we fought and we bled

Is payment enough, and with that we will trust

That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

The lord never ceases to amaze me..

The Lord never ceases to amaze me..I say this and I dont know why I am so surprised. Lately I have been on this roller coaster of feelings. I was on this down slope, the bottom of a hill, and its like I couldn't get back up it. But with the power of pray and the lords endless blessings, im starting to be able to get back up. I have these little moments every day where the lord sends someone or something to remind me of what I need to do and give me that spiritual boost everyday. He knows im struggling and he of course is right there to help me along. Today Brother Fish sang the song, Joseph (I was not his father, He was mine.) and it made me cry of course, Most songs make me tear up. There is something about music that just gets to me. I love stories and quotes and all that good stuff, but music, songs get to me the most. This song was one of the many reminders today that the lord sent to me. Seeing how this day is only half over, im waiting for the Lord to send another my way. Its good that he gets me and how my emotions are constantly changing and how I need to have more then just one little reminder. He never ceases to amaze me. Lately I have been thinking about choices and lessons I have learned, and relearned. There are some choices made and lessons that come from them later on and how those are lessons I have learned to late. But I guess its never to late to learn a lesson, we have eternity to better ourselves. It made me really think about my life choices and how I want to live my life with no regret. It will be hard but it is something that I strive for. I think this will be my new years resolution, just this one. I am making some positive choices and I am proud of where I am going. The new year is going to help me further some of the choices and im really excited for them. I love my Heavenly Father and am indeed grateful for him. I am so blessed to have the people in my life that I do and to have constant reminders of his love for me. While I am still having tough times, I know that I can get through them and am grateful for that knowledge. I am glad to be having a hard time now in this Christmas season, its tough, but being able to reflect on Christ is something that I need. My last post was of a video I saw and loved. Also watch the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional, it was good.

Real Meaning of Christmas

Sorry it kind of cuts some the side off...

hmm

I'm not very good at keeping up on this thing as you all can tell. I dont have much to write about! ha ha Life is good. well except for the snow, that could go away and I would be happier! Not much has happened that I can remember since I last posted. Halloween came and went, Raiden made the cutest tony the tiger and Hannah a lady bug. Thanksgiving has now came and went, stuffed my face. yum yum. Now its onto the Christmas season. This year has come and gone and time is slipping. All I have to say is that I love my family and friends, they are what make life complete! =]
